Decorative Wooden Box – Tropical

Size: 16cm width x 12cm depth x 9cm height

The lid is decoupaged with a Tropical Flower and Butterfly design. Then sealed and Matt varnished.

The lower half of the box is painted with Blue furniture chalk paint, which has been sealed with Matt varnish. Decorated on the front with a wooden button Butterfly.

The inside is colour washed in Pink chalk paint, with the grain of wood showing through. The bottom is lined with Pink felt.

Finished with chrome coloured clasp and hinges.

Wood is a natural product and shade variations and different textures are characteristics of the boxes.

My Boxes are decorated with the decoupage technique using either paper napkins or rice paper. Small surface creases are part of the finished texture. On lighter colour papers the woodgrain could show through. I make no claim to the artwork / design of the decoupage paper used.

I try to show my Decorative Wooden Boxes as accurately as possible, but different tablets / monitors could show colours slightly differently from the original product.

This box is not a toy, and not suitable for very young children, due to the metal hinges, catch and any small embellishments.
